Carbon fiber water fed poles

At 12 m up, the pole matters more than anything else in your kit. A heavy, whippy pole tires you out and makes the brush bounce across the glass. A carbon fiber water fed pole stays light and rigid at full extension, so you can clean windows, facades and solar panels from the ground with control. Our Carbon stick comes in seven working lengths, from 6 m (20 ft) to 20 m (65 ft).

Why choose a carbon fiber telescopic pole?

Carbon fiber is lighter and stiffer than fiberglass. Above about 10 m, that difference decides how long you can work and how precisely you can place the brush. A stiff pole flexes less, so the brush stays where you point it rather than drifting with every move.

Each pole is telescopic. Precision-fitted sections slide out to the length you need and lock in place, then collapse for transport and storage. Carbon fiber is also corrosion-resistant and holds up well to sun and rain, which matters for a tool that lives on a van roof.

Carbon or composite – which pole do you need?

If most of your jobs are houses, shopfronts and low commercial buildings, a composite pole (resin-reinforced fiberglass, 6-10 m) is the economical choice. Move to carbon when you:

  • work above 10 m on a regular basis,
  • spend several hours a day with the pole in your hands,
  • clean large solar arrays, where you reach across many rows of panels,
  • need precise brush control on tall glass facades.

Many crews run both: a short composite pole for ground-floor work and a carbon pole for the high stuff. See the full telescopic poles range to compare.

Which length of carbon fibre water fed pole?

The pole length should cover the highest point you clean, with a little reach to spare so you are not working at full extension all day.

Working lengthTypical jobs
6 m (20 ft), 8 m (26 ft)residential windows, single-storey commercial work
10 m (33 ft), 12 m (39 ft)most office buildings, warehouses, larger rooftop solar installations
13 m (43 ft), 15 m (49 ft)tall warehouses, apartment buildings, high glazing
20 m (65 ft)the highest points you can safely clean from the ground

The shorter carbon poles suit cleaners who want carbon’s low weight even on lower jobs. A 15 m carbon pole is part of our professional Sets 3, 4 and 5. The 20 m (65 ft) version is our longest pole. A 20m carbon fiber telescopic pole lets you reach the highest points you can safely clean from the ground. It is a specialist tool and needs an experienced operator.

Built for the Mansser Osmo pure water system

The poles are made to work with Mansser pure water machines: the 4-stage RO/DI Mansser Osmo and the Starkman Hydro S+ series. They also fit our nylon brushes in SOFT, MEDIUM and HARD, our angle joints and the flexible hoses that carry pure water up to the brush. For a step-by-step look at the whole setup, read our guide to pure water window cleaning equipment.

Safety: carbon conducts electricity

Carbon fiber conducts electricity. Never use a carbon fiber telescoping pole near overhead power lines or other live electrical equipment. Before you extend the pole, check the area around and above the building. This applies to every long water fed pole, whatever it is made of: wet and dirty surfaces can conduct current too.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

If you clean above 10 m or work with a pole for most of the day, usually yes. Lower weight and higher stiffness mean less fatigue and better brush control. For occasional low-level work, a composite pole is often enough.

Our longest pole has a working length of 20 m (65 ft). The range also includes 6, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 15 m versions.

Yes. Carbon poles are widely used for cleaning rooftop and ground-mounted PV arrays with pure water. Carbon conducts electricity, so keep clear of overhead lines and follow the safety rules for the installation you are cleaning.

The poles are designed for the Mansser Osmo system: our brushes, angle joints and flexible hoses fit directly. If you use accessories from another manufacturer, contact us before ordering and we will confirm compatibility.

After each job, rinse grit off the sections before you collapse them, since sand inside the clamps wears the carbon. Check the clamps regularly and store the pole dry and collapsed.
